Press Brakes
Star Brand Press Brakes allow the machine operator to vary approach speeds and return speeds when handling large sheets. This helps sheet handling tremendously as the sheet is pushed into the die being used to create the desired bend. By slowing down the pressing speed conventional sheet whipping is eliminated largely. Whipping makes sheet handling a very tedious job for the machine operator. These Press Brakes are also equipped with another very useful feature which allows the ram to go upwards very slowly for a short distance, before stopping. Meanwhile the machine operator can enhance the bend quality by eliminating “dishing” near the bend. It’s also possible to add a short delay when the ram reaches the bottom of the die, which is very useful when bending acute angles.
